  • You must have an active NMC registration, and you will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check., The ideal candidate will be resilient and able to appropriately challenge boundaries to identify innovative solutions that best meet the needs of the service, stakeholders and staff.,
  • Provide clinical leadership to the Health Protection Service and wider Public Health Division across all core domains of Public Health.
  • Lead and assure the development, implementation and delivery of clear, robust health protection and IPC strategies, policies and protocols across multiple organisations.
  • Act as the Clinical Lead for IPC within Public Health, providing expert advice and oversight.
  • Provide clinical governance and expert advice to Public Health teams and commissioners of health and adult social care, ensuring effective IPC systems and statutory obligations are met.
  • Collate and provide assurance that IPC systems and processes meet required standards for commissioners and providers.
  • Lead a community-wide IPC programme, providing specialist operational advice and support to health, adult social care and non-healthcare settings to reduce avoidable harm.
  • Provide leadership and deliver reactive clinical interventions to manage communicable disease incidents and outbreaks.
  • Positively influence practice, quality and safety across the Health Protection and wider Public Health system.

    You will be a senior clinician with substantial expertise in infection prevention and control, health protection and outbreak management, with a strong track record of leadership, collaboration and system-wide influence. The post holder will work both collaboratively and autonomously using transferable knowledge and skills to help develop and deliver the Health Protection function across Lincolnshire. This involves acting as a catalyst for change in practice and service development. The post holder will actively engage in the broader work of the Health Protection Service, provide clinical leadership and guidance across both the Public Health division and wider Council, and will lead or contribute to defined areas of work such as Infection Prevention & Control, Screening & Immunisation, Sexual Health and Substance Misuse.
