Full Job Description

In this fast paced role, you will be required to assist our clinical teams in providing exemplary care within our department. your HCA duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patients' health and wellbeing.

You will be required to undertake specific delegated tasks after appropriate training.

You will need to be organised and flexible and be able to respond to the changing working environment.

Often our patients can be going through a distressing event in their lives & you will be expected to use your communication skills effectively to help provide the support and help that they need.

You will need to be able to escalate any change in a patient's condition to the Registered Nurse.

You are expected to act as a chaperone to women while clinical examination is undertaken and assist the clinical team with procedures that are taking place.

The ability to maintain confidentiality and have an awareness of safeguarding issues is essential

Ward 9a have an exciting opportunity a healthcare support worker for 30 hours per week who can work flexibly. Shift patterns covering 24 hours a day, 7 days per week; including night shifts, early, late & long day shifts plus weekends on a fair rota basis

The gynaecology in patient ward is co-located with the emergency gynaecology assessment unit within the ward area. This is a chance to be a part of developing team & an evolving, responsive service. We are dedicated to providing quality care & treatment to our patients. We look forward to an enthusiastic, compassionate & caring member of staff joining the team

Additional working pattern details: Involves long days and nights.
