Full Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and motivated individuals with a genuine interest in working within rehabilitation. As a Clinical Healthcare Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our friendly multidisciplinary team, supporting doctors, nurses, and advanced practitioners to deliver high-quality care to the people of Louth and the surrounding communities.
This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will assist with a range of clinical and patient care duties, helping to ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, in a busy and dynamic environment.
We are seeking applicants who are committed to providing excellent patient care, work well as part of a team, and can remain calm and professional in a fast-paced setting. Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential, as training and development opportunities will be provided.

The post holder will actively contribute to meeting the needs of patients within the Scotter Ward, working under the direction of a qualified Nursing and medical team in accordance with Trust policies, procedures and departmental standards.
The role involves undertaking and recording patient observations, providing basic patient care, assisting with patients needs.
The post holder will support and contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, individualised care that promotes health, wellbeing and independence where appropriate.
Additional duties include maintaining accurate patient records, supporting clinical audits, ordering and replenishing stock, undertaking reception and clerical duties, and acting as a chaperone when required to support the smooth and efficient running of the service.

Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and lifelong learning with the ability and willingness to undertake competency-based training both initially and as ongoing requirement for the post to meet service requirements.
Previous experience working and communicating with the public.
Good computer/ IT skills
Clinical experience in a healthcare setting undertaking a range of delegated clinical tasks supporting unwell patients.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to communicate with a variety of different people, adapt approach accordingly and build rapport.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to use initiative and be aware of limitations.
Ability to switch between activities required by the service.
Ability to work to strict deadlines with accuracy.
Ability to stay calm in the event of the unexpected and under pressure.
Ability to deal sensitively with distressing, emotional situations.
Ability to work unsocial hours including shift work and bank holidays.
