Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated nurse to join our Clinical Haematology team as a Thrombotic Microangiopathy (TMA) Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Working within a highly specialised multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care and support to patients with rare and complex TMA disorders, including TTP and aHUS. You will coordinate patient pathways, provide specialist advice and education, and act as a key point of contact for patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
As a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide clinical leadership within the service, contribute to quality improvement and service development, and support the education and development of colleagues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centred care and developing specialist expertise within a supportive and progressive team., As the TMA Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide expert care and support to patients with Thrombotic Microangiopathy (TMA), including TTP and aHUS. Working within a highly specialised multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate patient pathways, undertake specialist assessments, and provide education and support to patients, families and healthcare professionals.
You will act as a key point of contact throughout the patient journey, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care and an excellent patient experience. The role requires strong clinical leadership, providing professional support to colleagues, promoting best practice, and contributing to the ongoing development of the specialist service.
As a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will lead on service improvement initiatives, contribute to the development and implementation of policies and clinical guidelines, and support education and training across the wider team. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and regional partners to improve outcomes for patients with rare and complex disorders.
