Clinical Governance Lead

As our Clinical Governance Lead at our Leicester Hospital, you will provide strong clinical leadership and scrutiny of all matters relating to the Quality of all clinical care delivery. This role will work alongside Senior Clinical Leaders and key stakeholders across the organisation to facilitate clinical excellence, impact and fulfilment of Nuffield Health's charitable purpose.,

• Drive the continuous improvement
• Data quality and data analysis capabilities
• Reporting and escalation processes i.e. Board and Incident Reporting; in order to guide our Quality learning and decision-making
• Work alongside other Senior Clinical and Medical Leaders, lead the delivery of Quality Assurance and improvement activity, including delivery of systems which support clinical effectiveness, patient safety, regulatory compliance, customer feedback and professional development
• Lead on the development, review and oversight of Clinical Policies and SOPs, ensuring that the clinical policy catalogue is effectively managed
• Provide advice, guidance and subject matter expertise on governance processes to all those involved in the leadership of clinical care
• Support the maintenance and achievement of clinical and/or organisational accreditation e.g. ISO9001, contributing to, and facilitating successful certification
  
  You will be a registered Clinician (NMC, HCPC or GPC) and be educated up to degree/post graduate level in a clinical discipline. You will also have the relevant qualifications in organisational governance e.g. ISO9001 Auditor or equivalent. In addition, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate senior leadership within the healthcare sector, with significant experience in clinical governance and quality assurance. You will have excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and be able to work proactively and efficiently., Please note that whilst a clinical background would be desirable due to the nature of the role and its close links to clinical quality and patient safety, it is not considered essential. We would welcome applications from both clinical and non-clinical candidates, provided they can demonstrate a minimum of two years' experience in a governance role within a healthcare or clinical setting. The key requirement is proven governance expertise, including experience of risk management, incident investigation, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of governance programmes within a clinical environment
