Your role will involve continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care, undertaking ward duties under the direction of senior colleagues, providing evidence-based care for patients in a multi-disciplinary setting and conducting suitable duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
As part of a team, you will work with the Consultant Physicians and a team of junior doctors to manage ward in-patients, may be called upon to see General Medical referrals on other wards, be expected to take part in Clinical Governance Meetings and be involved in Audit within the Department and be expected to supervise junior medical staff and have continuing inpatient responsibility in conjunction with the members of junior doctors' medical team, CMTs, FY2s and FY1s.
All staff in each Directorate are managerially accountable through their Lead Clinician to the Clinical Director, who has overall responsibility for the services within the Directorate and will work in partnership with colleagues in other Directorates within the Trust.
Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
