Clinical fellow in Palliative Medicine

We have an opportunity to appoint a Clinical fellow in Palliative Medicine to support the provision of Specialist Palliative Care to the patients attending St. George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone needing experience in Specialist palliative Care before applying for Higher Specialist Training.

• Full GMC Registration
• MB BS or equivalent
Desirable
• Intercalated BSc or equivalent
• MRCP(UK/I), MRCGP or equivalent
Clinical Experience Essential
• Broad medical experience with some experience of palliative care patients
• At least 12 months experience of working in the NHS
Desirable
• More extensive experience in palliative care setting
Knowledge and Skills Essential
• Knowledge of principles and practice of palliative care
• Appropriate level of clinical knowledge
• Appropriate experience and competence in common medical interventions
Research Desirable
• Understanding of the principles and applications of clinical research in palliative medicine, Ability to communicate with clarity and intelligibly in written and spoken English
• Good organisational skills
• Evidence of working well in multidisciplinary teams
Other Essential
• Understanding of and adherence to the principles of Good Medical Practice set out by the General Medical Council

• Evidence of contribution to effective clinical audit
