Full Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor wishing to develop their skills in palliative medicine, whether you are preparing for higher specialist training or looking to broaden your experience before a future career in medicine or general practice., You will work closely with our consultants, specialty doctors and wider clinical team to provide specialist palliative care. Key responsibilities include: Providing high-quality specialist palliative medical care to hospice inpatients. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centred care. Supporting junior medical colleagues, including GP trainees. Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and clinical audit. Participating in teaching and education for healthcare professionals and students.
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine to join our experienced multidisciplinary medical team on a fixed-term basis of 12 months.,
- Full GMC Registration. MBBS or equivalent. Desirable
- MRCGP, MRCP, FRCA or FRCR. Experience Essential
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate clinical experience with evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies in line with GMC standards. Minimum of 12 months experience working in the NHS. Desirable
- Logical career progression into palliative care (i.e. Future plans to specialise in Oncology, General Practice or Palliative medicine). Experience in Palliative Care. Person Specification Qualifications Essential
