Full Job Description
The department operates a Full Shift rota for the middle grade doctors. Current rota is 1 in 7. The specialty doctor will be doing one weekend in every 7 weeks. They will also be doing a total of 7 nights in a 7-week cycle. This rota will be reviewed following the success of recruitment into the new posts.
The Specialty Doctor will take part in the Middle Grade Rota which is a full shift system. He/she will:
o Be responsible for Paediatric and Neonatal admissions and ward care, as per the duty roster.
o Undertake ward rounds independently but with consultant supervision.
o Attend consultant ward rounds as appropriate.
o Participate in Paediatric clinics
