Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Endocrinology

This is a 6 month, 0.3 Less Than Full Time position, which will sit in the Paediatric Endocrinology department. Applicants will need to be at ST6+ equivalent level by the start of the post in September 2026.

Prior experience of general paediatrics, neonatology and paediatric endocrinology at specialist registrar level in the UK or similar English-speaking healthcare system (i.e. at least 2 previous years of dedicated general paediatric/ neonatal middle grade experience) is essential.

Endocrinology is based, to varying degrees, on two wards; Kingfisher and Squirrel. Kingfisher ward is an investigation unit, open 6 days/week. The doctor will gain considerable experience in most important areas of paediatric endocrinology as well as general paediatrics from cross-covering other specialties (metabolic medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, rheumatology and dermatology) out of hours.

Additionally, Endocrine advice and management support of patients is provided to other teams throughout GOSH, most notably Neurosurgical patients based on Koala ward.

All annual and study leave will be coordinated within the allocated specialty. These posts will be flexible, thus allowing the ST5+ to benefit from the wide range of experience available, and may be tailored to individual needs. This post does not have formal educational approval.

We are looking for a motivated, 0.3 Less than Full TIme Clinical Fellow to join the Endocrinology Department. This post is available to start from September 2026 for 6 months on a fixed term basis. There may be the possibility for extension thereafter.

This is a 6-month, 0.3 Less Than Full Time Clinical Fellow post where you will be able to gain tertiary/ quaternary experience in Paediatric Endocrinology in the unique and supportive environment of Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a valued member of the team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the unit and will be offered study leave. Clinical research, audit and quality improvement activities will also be encouraged.
