Full Job Description
This is an exciting, new, fixed-term post designed to improve quality and provide more continuity in the neonatal service in line with the new neonatal designation. The post combines the opportunity to take a key role in service development and training with high quality clinical presence in the neonatal unit and delivery suite. Royal United Hospital Bath is an established LNU seeking to develop it's transitional care and outreach services and the successful candidate would play a key role in reviewing and developing postnatal infant care., Responsibilities would include delivering the neonatal induction program for our tier one junior doctors and supporting them in neonatal resuscitation and delivery room management as well as in maintaining good consistent care on the neonatal unit and postnatal wards. The post holder could be responsible for development and expansion of our interdepartmental simulation-based teaching program. The unit currently provides clinical placement for an ANNP student, and the post-holder would be involved in supporting and supervising the clinical aspects of their training within the neonatal unit.
