Full Job Description
This post is for 40 hours per week (full time) substantive fellow to support disease groups in Medical Oncology. The post holder will be employed by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at The Christie Withington site. The successful applicant would be expected to work alongside consultants and trainees in out-patient clinics, supervising chemotherapy delivery and performing on-treatment reviews and where appropriate inpatient reviews.
o They will be managerially accountable to the Clinical Director of the Directorate of Medical Oncology.o They will be professionally responsible to the consultants in whose clinics they will be supporting and inpatients they are reviewing.o The post-holder will be assigned a clinical supervisor (Consultant Medical Oncologist). They will work alongside their supervisor in at least one clinic.

These roles are varied depending on which disease groups they are assigned to., includes participation in planned weekend and weekday clinical activity to support safe, timely decision making & continuity of care for patients.
