Full Job Description
Candidates must have completed training to at least ST5 level.The programme is over 2 year's whole time equivalent, if the trainee is research exempt at the time of registering for subspecialty training, and over three years, if the trainee has not achieved research exemption at the time of registration. Training is undertaken as a series of modules and each module covers a particular aspect of the MFM curriculum ensuring that all training opportunities are covered.
This post would be suitable for any trainee who has successfully completed ST5 or equivalent or is post-CCT. Previous experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine would be advantageous but is not essential. Trainees must have MRCOG or equivalent. The appointee will be expected to register with the Subspecialty training programme at the RCOG. The appointee will have a named educational supervisor. Annual leave and study leave is commensurate with other post foundation doctors. The aim of this post is to equip the post-holder with the necessary clinical skills to become a recognised subspecialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine.
