Clinical Fellow in Geriatric Medicine ST3+

We are seeking a motivated and experienced doctor to join Somerset NHS Foundation Trust as an Clinical Fellow (IMT3) in Geriatric Medicine at Yeovil District Hospital. This is a registrar-level post offering the opportunity to develop skills in geriatric medicine, frailty, and acute general medicine. The role provides excellent exposure as a Tier 2 decision maker, with strong consultant support and a structured training environment. This post is ideal for candidates aiming to progress into higher specialty training in Geriatric Medicine or General Internal Medicine.Main duties of the job Work as a Tier 2 registrar-level clinician within Geriatric Medicine Provide senior clinical decision-making for elderly patients, including frailty care Participate in General Medical Registrar on-call rota (approx. 1:13) including nights, weekends, and long days ] Support Frailty at Front Door services and possible rotation in stroke medicine Supervise junior doctors and provide teaching, feedback, and clinical leadership Perform key clinical procedures including:

• Lumbar puncture
• Chest aspiration and drain insertion
• Ascitic paracentesis
• Cardioversion
