Full Job Description
prospective cover non-resident on calls, occasional resident shifts to support the resident anaesthetic rota Dedicated teaching time will be allocated to developing expertise in: Echocardiography Anaesthesia for cardiothoracic surgical procedures. Anaesthesia for interventional cardiology procedures. Critical Care. The post holder may have the opportunity to supplement/replace their Cardiothoracic anaesthesia sessions with other specialities, based on their learning objectives and wishes.
- GMC Full Licence to Practice Desirable criteria
- Evidence or interest in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia or Critical Care
- Management of complex rotas, Evidence of team leadership skills to be able to undertake effectively, the role of a Fellow within a large, multi site Teaching Hospital
- Organisational skills to be able to undertake effectively, the role of a Fellow within a large multi site Teaching Hospita.
- Good personal and interpersonal skills
- Good spoken and written English, communication skills should be highly developed Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of the organisation of the NHS and the Government's agenda for its modernisation
- Flexible approach to problem solving.
- Willingness to conduct and/or supervise audit as a fellow, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
