Clinical Fellow in Anaesthetics

We have a new anaesthesia fellowships at Ashford and St Peter's, which are ideally suited to candidates looking to develop their sub-specialty interests and enhance their CVs for ST4 or consultant applications., These posts are available from August 2025 and will be for 6-12 months duration depending on applicants preference., Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the peri-operative care of patients in their sub-specialty interest areas. Work will be a mix of training lists and solo lists with more distant supervision, dependent on levels of skill and experience. In addition to theatre lists, fellows will contribute to service delivery and governance by partaking in projects, such as service development and quality improvement projects. There will also be opportunities to organise and deliver teaching sessions to the department and to the wider multi-disciplinary team.

Fellows will provide on call cover on a 1 in 8 rota covering either theatres, obstetrics or intensive care, with supervision from the consultant on call.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years experience in anaesthesia and critical care, and be able to cover on calls in theatres, labour ward and intensive care with distant supervision.

St Peter's Hospital delivers complex medical and surgical care, maternity and emergency services. Day and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology and outpatient services are delivered at Ashford Hospital. Additional services are delivered at Woking Community Hospital.

£65,048 a year per annum, plus £149 HCAS and additional rota payments
