Full Job Description

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop their practice in Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy with associated lists, training lists and research opportunities. The focus of this posts is training in Therapeutic Endoscopy. Depending on the candidate's interest and availability of training capacity in the department, we will be able to provide training centered in EUS, ERCP or in Advanced Therapeutic endoscopy including: Colonoscopy EMR, Dilatation, Botox and Stenting, Balloon Enteroscopy and Video Capsule Endoscopy. They will also have an opportunity to develop their skills in the outpatient clinical setting with general and subspecialty Gastroenterology clinics. There will be a component of gastroenterology inpatient management in this post.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of commencement is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
