Full Job Description
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Urology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fixed-term maternity cover appointment commencing on 1 October 2026 and ending on 30 September 2027. The purpose of the post is to provide clinical support across a busy tertiary Urology service while offering advanced experience in general urology, including exposure to stone disease and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), bladder oncology and female functional urology. The successful candidate will participate in specialist outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary team meetings and operative lists, with opportunities to develop both clinical and surgical skills within these subspecialty areas.Main duties of the job The post-holder will participate in a middle grade, non-resident 1 in 9 on-call rota. In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification and have:
- MRCS or equivalent qualification. Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition. Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
