Clinical Fellow - Acute Medicine

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Medicine Doctor to work at the Bedford Hospital Site in Acute Medicine. You must be dedicated to providing high quality emergency care, maintaining clinical standards, and continually looking to drive positive change by developing the service.

Your job will include a combination of direct clinical care, clinical education and personal development activities designed to support your career progression alongside delivery of the department's service objectives.

Main duties of the job

Routine and emergency patients must be seen and admitted expeditiously.

Ward rounds and visits to individual patients as well as discussion with their relatives may be necessary.

Keeping medical records as per GMC Good Medical practice is utmost; these must be dated and initialled, together with any other related administrative duties including discharge and clinic letters.

The patient's discharge summary paperwork is to be completed prior to the patients discharge.

Supervision of the Foundation Year 1 doctors when performing clinical duties.
