Clinical Engineer

The Clinical Engineering Department is responsible for delivering complete medical equipment management on behalf of the Trust to include City Road and all Moorfields Network sites.The post holder will provide medical equipment front line technical support for, to the Trusts clinical areas including all Moorfields Network clinics and contribute to the operation and development of a fit for purpose department at a Trust wide level on matters relating to medical equipment management., The post also plays a key role in supporting the Trust-wide transition to ORIEL, ensuring safe commissioning, migration and readiness of medical devices during the move from City Road to the new facility., The postholder provides day-to-day operational support for medical equipment, including maintenance, fault resolution, PPM servicing, acceptance testing, training and record keeping, ensuring safe and reliable equipment performance in line with departmental KPIs and financial controls.

The role also supports the ORIEL transition through equipment migration, commissioning, double-running support, documentation development and stakeholder engagement, helping to minimise service disruption and ensure continuity of patient care.

The candidate we seek will be qualified to degree in engineering with extensive practical experience in electro-medical engineering workshoppractices and technical skill with medical equipment.
