Clinical Educator Professional Development (Emergency Department)

A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an exceptional registered nurse to join us as a Clinical Educator working in ED at the Royal Derby Hospital. The ED education team takes responsibility for and is accountable for the delegated professional, practice development and education within the nursing team . If you are passionate about clinical education and have a desire to shape and develop the workforce, then this is your ideal role. An induction and development package will be given to the successful candidate. We welcome applications from motivated and dedicated Registered Nurses with an interest in education and preceptorship and who show evidence of high standards of practice for supporting safe & professional patient care in the emergency setting. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who have recent clinical experience within an acute hospital setting and experience of teaching & supporting various levels of learners. The successful candidates will work in the Emergency department as part of the Clinical Education Team, and will be joint line managed by our Senior Clinical Educator and senior sister team in ED. It is preferable that applicants have evidence that they are capable of working in a fast paced, busy acute environment and have demonstrable experience in teaching, mentoring and educating others. They will be responsible for facilitating new and existing staff members in becoming competent and capable practitioners by teaching, supervising and mentoring in the clinical setting. You will work independently and collaboratively in the coordination and delivery of development activities, mandatory, essential to role and specialist clinical training, collaborating with the dynamic wider teams in Learning & Education and the Senior Clinical Educator for ED. There is an expectation that you will work clinically within the Registered Nursing team when required.
