Full Job Description
We're looking for an exceptional Clinical Director to lead our Child and Adolescent Mental Health and All Age Eating Disorders Service. We welcome applications from experienced clinical leaders, as well as talented senior clinicians who can demonstrated strong leadership and are ready to take the next step into a strategic leadership role. We are committed to developing talented people and recognise that outstanding leaders come from a range of backgrounds and experiences., In this role you will help shape how mental health services for children and young people and people with eating disorders are delivered across South West London for years to come. Working alongside clinical, operational, and professional leaders, you'll:
- Develop a consistent, high-quality CAMHS and Eating Disorders pathway across all boroughs
- Influence and deliver strategic priorities for CAMHS and eating disorders across SWLSTG
- Continue to develop innovative, evidence-based, and digitally enabled models of care.
- Build outstanding multidisciplinary teams where people feel empowered, supported, and able to thrive.
- Strengthen partnerships across health, education, local authorities, primary care, and the voluntary sector. As Clinical Director, you'll help ensure our services are co-produced with children, young people, people with eating disorders and their families and carers, improving outcomes and reducing inequalities across South West London., Clinical Leadership & Governance
- Provide strategic clinical leadership across CAMHS & Eating Disorders services
- Ensure services are safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led
- Lead on clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety
- Embed learning from incidents, feedback and audits
- Develop a strong culture of multidisciplinary collaboration and clinical excellence Service Development & Strategy
- Lead the development of integrated care pathways for children and young people
- Drive innovation in community, crisis, and specialist eating disorder services
- Work collaboratively across education, social care and ICS partners
- Ensure co-production with children, young people and families
- Champion early intervention and prevention approaches
- Address health inequalities in access and outcomes Leadership & Performance
- Provide visible, inclusive and compassionate leadership
- Deliver quality, performance and financial objectives
- Support effective use of resources across complex service networks
- Influence across organisational boundaries, including regional and partnership forums
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning and psychological safety
We are seeking an outstanding, values-driven leader who: - Is a registered clinical professional (e.g. Medical, Nursing, Psychology or Allied Health)
- Has senior leadership experience within complex healthcare systems
- Brings expertise in CAMHS, childrens services and/or eating disorders
- Has a strong track record in service transformation, quality improvement and partnership working
- Is committed to equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racist practice
- Can lead with credibility, compassion and influence across systems
- You will be passionate about improving outcomes for young people and confident working across organisational and system boundaries. What we offer

- Experience of directly managing significant resources, including budgets
- Experience of multi professional collaboration at a senior level.
- Experience of working collaboratively with other organisations.
- Participation in and understanding of complex organisational change., Previous Clinical Director experience or participation in a Clinical Director development programme, Registered Medical Practitioner or other relevant clinical qualification (eg Registered Nurse or Therapist)
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
- Leadership training (eg collaborative leadership)
- Evidence of continuing professional development

£113,565 to £150,569 a year per annum plus London Zone Allowance or Band 9 plus Inner HCAs
