Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NHS England Approved Clinical Coding Trainer to join our East Cheshire NHS Trust Clinical Coding Team.
The Clinical Coding Trainer will plan and deliver structured trainee programmes, refresher training, classification updates and specialty workshops, supporting coders from entry level through to the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC) and beyond.
Applicants must be NHS England Approved Clinical Coding Trainers.
We wouldalso consider applicants who have secured a place on NHS England's 2026/2027 Clinical Coding Trainer Programme (CCTP) Assessment Day (June 26)., The main job purpose is to work with the Head of Clinical Coding in the development and delivery of the clinical coding training service, to ensure that clinical coders are confident and effective in their roles and facilitate adherence of quality standards and information governance requirements. This will include providing an internal induction training programme, creating and delivering internal workshops, delivering approved National Clinical Coding Standards training and providing mentorship to both senior qualified clinical coders and clinical coders undertaking the national clinical coding qualification.
