Full Job Description
Your role will include responsibilities for the day-to-day management of Clinical Coding staff to ensure all coding is completed timely and accurately for SUS deadlines and support Payment by Results with the assistance of all colleagues.The post holder will be responsible for ensuring provision of an optimum clinical coding service across Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
In addition, the post holder will be responsible for management of any coding queriesand, together with the Management team, they willbe proactive in liaising withclinicians and other Trust staff to review and discuss coding., The postholder will provide operational delivery management support, both generally and for specific time-limited projects to the Clinical Coding Manager. The Clinical Coding Delivery Team Manager will have day-to-day responsibility for the management of clinical coding staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure that patient activity data is fully and accurately coded within mandated timescales, whilst adhering to national and local standards.

As a result of investment and restructure within the service, we are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic B6 Clinical Coding Delivery Manager to join our Trust.

Primary Care
Providing primary care services at Marshalls Cross Medical Centre situated in St Helens Hospital.
Community Services
Providing adult community services for St Helens and a wheelchair service in Chorley, South Ribble, and West Lancashire. Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
