Full Job Description
Blackburn Road Medical Centre & Broughton House GP Surgery is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Admin Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for summarising patient clinical records and accurately coding relevant information from patient records and incoming correspondence. The role will also include a range of general administrative duties as required to support the smooth running of the practice., The main duties of the role include summarising patient clinical records by reviewing and accurately extracting relevant medical information into the practice system, ensuring records are complete, consistent, and up to date. The postholder will also be responsible for coding clinical data from incoming correspondence such as hospital letters, test results, and other external communications in line with practice protocols. Additional duties include supporting the Admin Team with a range of general administrative tasks, which may involve processing documents, maintaining patient records, handling correspondence, and assisting with workflow management to ensure timely and efficient operation of the practice. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team., Across the organisation, care is delivered by a multidisciplinary clinical team comprising 3 GP partners,7 salaried GPs,supported by 3 practice nurses, 2 trainee nursing associates, 5 healthcare assistants, and a dedicated phlebotomist. The clinical team is further supported by experienced administrative and management staff who ensure the efficient running of both sites. The organisation is also a training practice for trainee GPs, supporting the education and development of the next generation of doctors through supervised clinical experience and structured learning opportunities. A wide range of services is provided, including chronic disease management, acute care, health prevention, vaccinations, screening, and diagnostic support. Both sites are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a safe and accessible environment, working closely with community services and secondary care providers to ensure coordinated patient pathways. Continuous improvement, clinical governance, and workforce development remain central to service delivery., The postholder will be an integral member of the Admin Team, responsible for summarising patient clinical records and accurately coding relevant clinical information from incoming correspondence and patient records. The role ensures that patient records are complete, accurate, and maintained in line with NHS standards and practice protocols.
