Clinical Coder

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Coder to join our busy GP practice, supporting accurate, high quality clinical data to underpin patient care - QOF - IIF and wider contractual requirements., The postholder will be responsible for reviewing and coding clinical information from consultations, correspondence and results using SNOMED CT, ensuring data is complete, consistent and aligned with national business rules.

You should have strong attention to detail, good understanding of primary care clinical systems such as EMIS and Docman, and experience of clinical coding in a GP or NHS setting. Knowledge of QOF, Network Contract DES requirements and data quality principles is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, a methodical approach and the ability to work independently to deadlines are essential.

This role is key to helping the practice manage workload safely and efficiently by ensuring that clinical activity is accurately captured first time, reducing rework and supporting effective population health management.
