An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Care Co-ordinator Safeguarding role at Priory Medical Group in York. We are looking for an exceptional individual who will provide professional, competent and efficient support as the first point of contact to Patients/Colleagues/Carers and other Healthcare professionals regarding urgent Safeguarding issues for Children. Reporting and accountable to the Practice Safeguarding Lead/Deputy Lead and Chief Operating Officer. We are looking for 20 hours per week (4 hours daily with flexible timing and the ability to work from home). Main duties of the job At Priory Medical Group, we provide our patients with the very best in professional, safe and compassionate medical care. This important role involves a variety of duties; oversee and complete all reports for safeguarding-relevant information, working closely with Priory Medical Group's Safeguarding lead and to act as the responsible named liaison with the Regional Safeguarding Lead Nurses and GP, Social workers/ Health Visitors and the Practice teams. We already support a number of existing employees who have a disability and/or a long-term health condition, so that they are able to stay in work., Main Duties Safeguarding Co-ordinator and Responsible Clinician

  • Reporting - you will oversee and complete all reports for safeguarding-relevant information received into Priory Medical Group, supported by the Administrative Care Co-ordinator. These reports vary from 24hr-7 day time-frames. Reports include: MASH Information Requests, Section 17 and 47 information enquiries, ICPC Reports (Initial Child Protection Conference).
  • Team Co-ordination - To work closely with the PMGs Safeguarding Lead and Deputy and the site based Safeguarding Champions on safeguarding cases across 8 surgeries.
  • Liaison work -To act as the responsible named liaison with the Regional Safeguarding Lead Nurses and GP, Social workers/ Health Visitors and the Practice teams.
  • Supporting MDTs -To attend, participate and actively contribute to any MDTs (Multi-Disciplinary Team) approach to safeguarding issues / patient cases.
  • Maintaining knowledge - Responsible for maintaining / updating knowledge of appropriate safeguarding guidelines, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.
