Full Job Description
We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Finance professional to join the Finance Department at Cardiff and Vale UHB. As one of the largest NHS finance teams in Wales, we pride ourselves on being dynamic, ambitious and committed to continuous improvement., Provide professional financial advice and support across the Health Board to enable effective budget setting, financial management and delivery of financial targets.
Work closely with budget holders to support financial performance, operational delivery and achievement of the Health Board's financial plan.
Support financial and business planning processes, ensuring the financial impact of service developments is fully understood and assessed.
Assist in monitoring financial performance, preparing financial projections, option appraisals and forward plans to manage risks and opportunities.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports to senior managers, highlighting risks, pressures and required actions.
Support budget holders through financial training and clear communication of complex financial information.
Help ensure Health Board financial systems, activities and controls meet governance, probity and stewardship standards.
