The Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London seeks to appoint a Clinical Associate Professor in Colorectal Surgery providing an outstanding opportunity to join a world-leading team whose interdisciplinary research ranks as one of the global premier academic departments of surgery., You will be expected to lead an academic programme in Colorectal Surgery.   • Appropriate specialist qualification
  • E.g. Member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health
  • (MRCPCH) by examination or equivalent
  • CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training), other specialist registration with GMC under equivalence rules and the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) would all be considered as appropriate for the position
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the Advisory Appointments Committee
  • Note - the Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration - CESR) applicants must be on the Specialist Register at the point of application
  • Clinical specialty of colorectal cancer surgery
  • The post-holder should hold the membership of the Royal College of Surgeons

    You will be expected to demonstrate a developing international reputation in your field of research and an ability to attract funds to support this. Additionally, you will have a proven track-record in publishing, education, as well as a good reputation in provision of clinical service. You will be required to play an active role in leading undergraduate and postgraduate education in surgery. Clinical responsibilities will include development of the Colorectal service.,
