Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clerk of Works to join a large and prestigious higher education institution in London. Working within a busy Estates and Facilities team, you will play a key role in overseeing a diverse portfolio of capital, refurbishment, maintenance, retrofit and decarbonisation projects across a complex estate.

This position will be responsible for ensuring contractors deliver works in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and agreed programmes.

We are looking for a candidate who will be qualified and in possession of a degree, HND or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline. The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a proven record of experience monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with project specifications and experience working as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector or similar role. Candidate will possess a strong understanding of building regulations, construction methods, building services and health & safety legislation with a proven track record showing the ability to work independently across multiple projects and sites.
