Full Job Description
A vacancy has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join this dynamic and internationally respected EQA programme based within the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. The individual will be required to work with administrative staff and healthcare scientists in the area of Immunology, Immunochemistry & Allergy by delivering an efficient and responsive EQA service to UK and international clinical laboratories. This is a non-patient facing role within UK NEQAS and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that will ideally suit an individual looking to join an internationally respected team and be exposed to new and exciting developments., The successful candidate will provide specific clerical, secretarial, business and administrative duties for the UK NEQAS Centre. The main duties of the role are:
- To provide an efficient and effective admin and clerical service to UK NEQAS IIA
- To carry out routine duties relating to the office and laboratory and to provide and effective secretarial service to UK NEQAS IIA
- To be a point of contact for all direct enquiries (including telephone enquiries), ensure these are acted upon appropriately.
The duties of this post are varied and interesting with the successful individual expected to use their own initiative and work without close supervision on occasions but still be able to work as part of a team.
