Full Job Description

1. To undertake a full range of reception/clerical responsibilities
2. Monitor, schedule and amend patient appointments following the clinical guidelines provided and adhering to the Trust Access Policy / Patient Pathway guidelines.

We are looking for a dedicated, highly motivated and computer literate individual to join our Administration Team at The Countess of Chester Hospital.

We would welcome applications from experienced Administrators who are used to working autonomously, have a strong work ethic, a flexible approach and the ability to problem solve.

Whilst the primary objective of the post is to provide support to the Radiology Department at The Countess of Chester Hospital, full flexibility is required. This includes working as part of a team covering peaks of workload and emergency backfill to support the wider Department, including Ellesmere port hospital as required., 3. Good communication skills are essential as the post holder will need to liaise directly with patients, consultants and other hospital staff.
4. A working knowledge of general office procedures and Microsoft packages is required, but full training will be provided in the use of Cerner and Medisec software. Medical terminology would be an advantage.
5. Flexibility is required to work as part of a team covering peaks of workload and emergency cover to support the whole Department as required.

The Trust's services are provided from three locations:

o The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.o Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.o Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff (headcount) to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire.

The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System. Due to its location on the border with North Wales, the Trust also works closely with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
