Full Job Description
- Undertake administration functions for the department, such as data input, photocopying, filing, letter writing, etc.
- Undertake accurate recording / inputting and amending of data within Trust information systems.
- Communicate effectively with the use of tact and diplomacy, and seek to overcome barriers to effective communication. This may require the use of multiple communication methods, such as email, telephone, reception duties, etc.
- Work collaboratively with the wider departmental team to ensure a consistent and effective Patient First service.
- Actively use initiative within the role but seek guidance when required and appropriate.
- Assist and support in the development and improvement of the service and in the implementation of Trust and Departmental policies and procedures.
- Complete all mandatory training required by the Trust and actively participate in personal development.
- Assist and support the development and training of new team members.
- Undertake effective prioritisation of own workload and the coordination of activities / duties related to the role.
- Adhere to all Trust and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come and join our team in the out patient department in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Northern General Hospital & the Royal Hallamshire. The successful candidate will need to be an excellent team player and able to work using their own initiative. We are looking to appoint a motivated individual who must have excellent communication and organisational skills. This dynamic and interesting role will involve working within our existing multidisciplinary supportive team, providing essential day to day administrative service for Diabetes and Endocrinology.
