Cleansing Operative

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Cleansing Operative, on a 3.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., The Cleansing Operative will carry out street cleansing operations across Somerset to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, undertaking a range of cleansing duties with minimal disruption to customers while ensuring high standards of health, safety, and customer service., Carry out street cleansing operations across Somerset.
Undertake litter picking, hand sweeping, bin emptying, fly-tip removal, and public toilet cleaning.
Support the delivery of a clean and safe public environment.
Drive non-LGV vehicles and operate machinery as required.
Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks and report any defects.
Carry out basic vehicle and equipment maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tyre pressures, bulbs, and cleanliness.
Essentials

Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and undertake physically demanding duties.
