Full Job Description

Responsible for regularly briefing accountable staff through 1-1 meetings, team briefings and/or walking the floor Responsible for ensuring cleaning equipment is PAT tested and all equipment is available at all times Ensure all Ward Assistants are trained in the correct and staff use of equipment as required to provide the service (suction cleaners, floor maintenance equipment, mopping systems (wet/dry), carpet cleaning equipment, steam cleaners,, fogging machines) To collaborate with the Facilities Cleanliness auditor in developing action plans resulting from cleanliness audits and to be responsible for carrying out those actions; Ensure accountable staff work in a safe manner, observing all Infection Prevention Control measures, health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling; Ensure that the work carried out has been completed to the National Standard of Cleanliness Contribute to and maintain an awareness of Health & Safety, ,COSHH, and infection control procedures In collaboration with the E-rostering lead prepare staff rotas, ensuring that they are efficient and adequate cover is providedMaintain effective control of annual leave, ensuring adequate cover is provided at all timesEnsure that adequate stocks of line products are available at all times and liaise with the Linen team to address any daily shortages Undertake return to work interviews and effectively manage all forms of absence Responsible In conjunction with the Assistant Facilities Manager and Infection & Prevention Control, for the annual deep cleaning programme including deep cleans during outbreaks
