We are looking for a dedicated and highly organised Cleaning Supervisor to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high standards of cleanliness. In this role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, support and guide cleaning staff, and ensure all tasks are completed to the highest quality. If you thrive in a busy environment and take pride in creating well-maintained spaces, we'd love to hear from you., Responsible for undertaking annual Ward Assistant appraisals and setting and agreeing work-plans and objectives, in conjunction with the Assistant Facilities Manager -- Cleaning To lead, motivate and direct Ward Assistant staff in the effective and efficient delivery of cleaning services Responsible for coaching Ward Assistants, such their knowledge, competency and performance is enhanced Responsible for own work prioritisation, output and quality Demonstrates activities and work routines to others in own work area and provides local induction training for new members of staff; Responsible for ensuring all accountable staff attend ongoing LEAP training Responsible for ensuring accountable staff maintaining agreed quality standards Responsible for identifying any identified performance or capability issue of accountable staff, managing and/or escalating to line manager Oversee and manage staff sickness to level 2 of the trust Managing Absence Policy., For a full breakdown of the role with a detailed person specification please see the full attached job description. The position operates on a shift pattern covering 07:00--15:00 and 11:30--19:30, providing consistent supervision and service across the day. - Must have numeracy and literacy skills
- Wiliness to undertake job related training Desirable
- BICS or equivalent NVQ 3 certification Experience Essential
- Leadership of groups of staff
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Proven supervisory skills
- Experience of managing sickness absence, conducting staff appraisals and performance management
- Able to use routine IT Word, Excel. write and reply to emails
- Managing resources within finite restraints
- Working within a domestic role in a healthcare setting, Able to engage, support, motivate and inspire teams
- Ability to lead others
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
