We're looking for a Cleaning Operative who will provide a comprehensive cleaning service across the Centre while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in a secure environment. Role Responsibilities:
- To provide a comprehensive cleaning service in designated areas to meet the standards identified in the cleaning schedule.
- Clean all areas, including toilets, showers, fixtures and fittings, to ensure cleanliness standards and a hygienic environment are maintained.
- Operate in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations and Mitie standards.
- Maintain cleaning equipment so that it remains serviceable and ready to use, ensuring no time delay in achieving required standards.
- Use, handle, transport and store equipment and materials securely and correctly at all times to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Identify and report any areas requiring repair or maintenance so that corrective action can be taken.
- Notify relevant staff of stock levels so that the availability of cleaning materials is maintained.
- Work within a Detention setting.
- On occasion, undertake the cleaning of body fluids (blood, urine and faeces).
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role. - Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage.
- Ability to work safely and in compliance with COSHH and Mitie standards.
