A part-time (16hrs), permanent Cleaner working across our Supported Housing services in Cardiff. Work pattern is flexible across Monday - Friday and can be discussed during interview. Dyfrig House operates between Cardiff Central and Newport Road - As you will be required to work across these locations, a Full UK Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle is essential. About the role Dyfrig House provides supported housing to individuals experiencing homelessness and who are seeking help to address alcohol and substance use challenges. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our supported housing services. You will be required to maintain the cleanliness of communal areas and, where required, individual rooms, helping to ensure a safe and dignified living environment for our customers. This is an important role within the service, supporting both customers and colleagues by keeping the building clean, hygienic, and well presented. Your day will consist of: You will provide a cleaning service to our properties and will be expected to carry out a range of tasks that include:

  • Vacuum-clean carpeted areas & sweep and wash non-carpeted floors
  • Dust and polish furniture
  • Clean windows, windowsills, glass doors
  • Disinfect and dust toilet areas including restocking of consumables
  • Sort rubbish for recycling,
  • Clean and disinfect external bin stores; place/return wheelie bins on weekly basis for collection
  • Clear litter and accumulated rubbish from internal and external areas
  • Sweep car parks and internal courtyards and external staircases
  • Clean communal kitchens & bathrooms
  • Occasionally required to assist with supporting cleaning bedrooms ready for new customers

    £25,877.80 FTE / £13.45ph
