Swalcliffe Park School has a great opportunity for a reliable, flexible and hardworking person to join its housekeeping and domestic team, supporting a clean, safe and well-presented school environment. If you've also worked in the following roles, we'd also like to hear from you: Cleaner, Housekeeper, Domestic Assistant, Cleaning Operative, Cleaning Assistant, School Cleaner, Housekeeping Assistant, Laundry Assistant, Domestic Cleaner, This is a rewarding opportunity for a Cleaner / Housekeeper / Domestic Assistant to carry out a range of cleaning and housekeeping duties across boarding houses, education areas, offices and communal spaces. As the Cleaner / Housekeeper / Domestic Assistant, you will help ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, shared areas and other school spaces are kept clean, tidy and ready for use. The Cleaner / Housekeeper / Domestic Assistant will also support occasional laundry duties and may help with whole school events when required., Your duties as the Cleaner / Housekeeper / Domestic Assistant include:
- General Cleaning: Carry out cleaning duties in students' boarding houses, the education block, offices and communal areas
- Bedroom Cleaning: Make beds and clean bedrooms, toilets and showers
- Room Tidying: Keep rooms tidy and presentable
- Floor Care: Mop and polish floors as required
- Seasonal Cleaning: Support spring cleaning duties
- Laundry Support: Carry out occasional laundry duties, including washing and ironing
- Kitchen Support: Assist with washing up when required
- Event Support: Help with occasional whole school events, such as the Christmas Show, Family Days and other school events
Reliable, flexible and adaptable approach to duties - Thorough, with good attention to detail
- Able to work to designated timescales
- Team player
- Able to follow instructions and keep to policies and guidelines
- Compliant with Health & Safety and Safeguarding requirements
- Able to undertake the physical nature of the role with the assistance of appropriate equipment and aids
- Own transport needed
Swalcliffe Park School provides specialist residential education and care for around 70 secondary aged boys (10-19 yrs) all of whom are on the Autism Spectrum. We offer excellent working conditions in a beautiful environment.
