Cleaner / Domestic Assistant

We are looking to recruit two Cleaners / Domestic Assistants to work within a friendly team providing high standards of cleanliness at Rainbow Lodge. Rainbow Lodge is a residential home for up to five children who have learning disabilities. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who, as well as having excellent domestic skills, have an understanding of the additional communication needs that some of the young people may have. If successful you will be working as a member of committed team. Training and supervision will be provided to support you in this role. This would include:

• cleaning floor services
• Laundry - washing and ironing
• keeping bedrooms and bathrooms clean and tidy
• cleaning kitchen work surfaces, fridges, ovens
• assisting in stock control.
• being aware of the use of cleaning products and safety guidelines COSHH
• Understanding of infection control
• Understanding of safety data sheets.
• Weekly deep cleans of specified areas.
• Understanding of personal protective equipment ( PPE)
• Commitment to undertaking relevant training.
• A level of fitness is required as this can be a physically demanding job.
