As a Cleaner, you'll help create a welcoming environment where people can enjoy leisure activities safely and comfortably. Your work will directly support the wellbeing of local communities by maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility, helping visitors and employees feel confident, cared for, and proud of the spaces they use.
What you'll do as a Cleaner
- Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building at all times
- Carry out cleaning duties safely, following all health and safety procedures and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) requirements
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete all required checklists accurately
- Report any cleaning issues, maintenance concerns, or areas requiring attention to the appropriate manager
- Monitor cleaning stock levels and notify the line manager when replenishment is needed
- Inspect, use, clean, and store cleaning equipment safely, while contributing to good housekeeping and sustainability practices
Experience in a cleaning role or the ability to demonstrate the skills required to succeed in this position
- Good communication skills and a positive, customer-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Good awareness of health and safety responsibilities in the workplace
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Location: Northfield Leisure Centre, B31 2PD Hourly Rate: £13.45 per hour plus excellent benefits Schedule: Permanent, Part-time, 9.3 hours per week, 3-week rota working every Friday 7am to 11am and Saturday & Sunday 10am to 4.30pm (working 1 weekend in 3)
