Full Job Description
What is the role? The successful candidates will be responsible for achieving high standards of cleanliness in clinical or non-clinical areas through the RUH and for ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained for patients and visitors., Who are we? The Cleaning Department is a large team providing cleaning to all areas of the hospital. Cleaners are generally assigned to specific location, enabling them to feel part of the local area team as well and build great relationships. Cleaning is a vital service within the hospital, helping to control the spread of infection, and providing a welcoming and safe environment for all our patients, staff and visitors. We provide full training on our cleaning procedures, the use of our new microfibre mopping system, the cleaning schedules and required cleaning frequencies, and use of cleaning chemicals.
Come and join us at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, and apply to join our team of cleaners where a fantastic journey and exciting opportunities await you. We are looking for candidates who have a flexible approach, good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to use their own initiative.
You'll be cleaning on Hospital Wards to maintain NHS Cleanliness Standards, and working in a fast paced environment whilst meeting the highest level of cleaning standards, including a Deep Cleaning process., No experience in cleaning is necessary. As part of our service improvement programme, we have a number of vacancies for cleaners with a wide variety of shift patterns available. Available shift lengths are between 3 hours and 7.5 hours throughout the day both in the week, and at weekends. Shift patterns can be created to suit your individual needs.
We are proud to be part of BSW Hospitals Group - a formal partnership between the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
