Classroom Teacher of English

As a Teacher of English, you will:

• Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons that inspire confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
• Plan and deliver a broad, ambitious English curriculum that develops students' reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, alongside their critical thinking and appreciation of literature.
• Use assessment effectively to maximise progress and achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment where every student feels valued.
• Support students of all abilities, including those with SEND and EAL.
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated English department and contribute to the wider life of the academy.
  
  Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
• Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.
• Has high expectations of themselves and their students.
• Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
• Is reflective, enthusiastic and committed to continuous professional development.
