This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and friendly large village school based in the beautiful Eden Valley on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The Governing Body of Langwathby C of E School are looking to appoint an outstanding and committed teacher (MPR) to join our friendly staff team. The post available is a 0.4 job share teaching in Year 3. The successful candidate will be required to start on 1st September 2026. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and creative teacher with the passion and drive to further develop our learning community and make a positive contribution to our school.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Places children at the centre of every decision.
  • Demonstrates consistently strong classroom practice.
  • Has high expectations and aspirations for every pupil.
  • Understands and implements Quality First Teaching.
  • Uses adaptive teaching effectively to remove barriers to learning whilst maintaining ambitious expectations.
  • Creates an inclusive classroom culture where every child can succeed.
  • Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching and secure progress.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Works effectively with teaching assistants and other professionals.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional learning and evidence-informed practice.
  • Upholds and actively promotes the Christian vision and values of the school.
