Full Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join our dedicated special school community. At Castle Wood, you will work with incredible pupils aged 3-11 with PMLD, SLD and Autism, delivering creative and personalised learning that helps every child thrive. Our pupils are at the heart of everything we do, and we are passionate about making a meaningful difference in their lives every day. We are looking for teachers who believes every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and want to work in a supportive, specialist team with excellent professional development and wellbeing support.
You will teach pupils with complex needs, including Autism, sensory differences and potentially PMLD, delivering engaging and personalised learning experiences that enable every child to succeed. We welcome teachers who bring creativity, innovation and high expectations to their classroom practice. A good understanding of Early Years principles is beneficial, as these approaches underpin teaching and learning across our school., We are seeking an enthusiastic and reflective teacher who:
- Has a passion for inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- Is resilient, flexible and committed to making a difference
- Has experience of planning, assessing and adapting learning for pupils with diverse needs
- Understands effective behaviour support strategies
- Is committed to safeguarding and continuous professional development Experience in a special school setting, knowledge of Autism, and training in Team Teach or positive handling would be advantageous but are not essential.
