Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, outstanding teacher to join Holy Ghost Catholic Primary School. The successful candidate will motivate, challenge, support and inspire our students and also have relevant experience in teaching phonics.,
- Be a passionate and effective classroom practitioner;
- Have the ability to engage, enthuse, and motivate children and their families;
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the national curriculum and assessment strategies
- Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity and creativity
- Be skilled in planning and delivering lessons that meets the diverse needs of all children, ensuring that learning is both enjoyable and challenging;
- Be able to provide personalised learning for children with additional needs
- Be an inclusive practitioner
- Have experience of teaching phonics successfully (preferably Little Wandle)
- Be a reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous professional development and improvement;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support children's learning and development., A practising Catholic is preferred; however, applications from candidates who are supportive of our Catholic ethos are warmly welcomed.
- A collaborative, committed team player with a sense of humour, creativity, and energy.
- Ability to build strong relationships with parents and across the Federation.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.
Holy Ghost is a thriving one form entry primary school tucked away on the peaceful, residential Nightingale Square in Balham. It is a 5 minute walk from Wandsworth Common train station and Balham train/tube station. We are a small, catholic primary school who has a strong school community.
