We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and talented teacher to join the staff at our happy and thriving school. The post will be either full time or 0.8 (with Tuesdays off) if preferred. Applications are welcome from candidates with teaching experience in KS2 and ideally upper KS2. Unfortunately, this post is not suitable for teachers who haven't yet completed their ECT years. Please state your curricular strengths as there will be flexibility in terms of subject leadership. We are looking for someone who:
- is an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and set high standards and expectations in all aspects of school and community life;
- has successful experience in teaching KS2 and, ideally, Year 5 and 6 children;
- is committed to child-centred education, promoting the achievement and well-being of all children;
- has a proven track record of, and commitment to, raising standards;
- is a flexible team player, empathetic and good humoured;
- is approachable with excellent interpersonal skills;
- is committed to parent partnerships;
- has a good understanding and knowledge of upper key stage 2 English and mathematics teaching and learning in particular as well as subjects across the curriculum;
- is keen to develop learning outside of the classroom;
- has the skills to ensure all children are suitably challenged and supported including managing support staff to best meet the needs of the children including those with SEND;
- has creative approaches to teaching and learning;
- is flexible in their approach, committed to CPD and open to new ideas;
- is able to work well as part of a close-knit team contributing to whole school improvement;
- is able to effectively lead areas of the curriculum;
- is keen to be part of a highly committed team and play a significant role in school life, both inside and outside the classroom. We can offer:
