Barrowcliffes have three main sites, Hooton Street, Nottingham and Bellwin Drive, Scunthorpe. We pride ourselves on the ability to deliver freshly prepared and wholesale produce to the required specification to meet our customer's needs nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Completing vehicle checks.
- Checking and securing the loads before leaving site.
- Ensuring all deliveries / tray collections are completed as per instructions.
- Accountability for accurate completion and return of all paperwork in line with company and customer procedures.
- Regularly communicating with the Transport team on delivery progress or issues/delays in a timely manner.
- Loading and Offloading (with assistance) is completed safely, and health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Observing and complying at all times with road transport and tachograph regulations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of customer orders using a pallet truck, or fork lift truck if certified.
About You
- Has a valid Category C HGV Licence and a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- A sound understanding of driver's hours legislation and RT(WT)R.
- Has less than 6 penalty points for minor offences.
- You must have a professional and positive attitude, and be punctual.
- Good communication / customer service skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Be flexible in driving other types of vehicles as required.
Working Conditions
- Working Shifts: Sunday to Thursday
- Working Hours: Combination of Early or Late Shift Start Times. 45 Hours per week, overtime available paid at basic hourly rate or time off in lieu
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £36,165.00 per annum dependent on experience + Benefits
- Statutory Benefits, 28 Days holiday (Pro-rata)
- Pension Scheme
- Long Service Award Scheme (including additional holiday entitlements)
- Driver CPC Training Costs will be financed by the company upon renewal subject to a learning agreement
- All workwear/Uniform is provided
