Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO Logistics, we're looking for a versatile and safety-focused C+E Class 1 ADR Driver to join our specialist logistics team in Harlow, CM19 5AW. You'll be responsible for the secure transport of hazardous goods, including lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, across the UK.

• Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• ADR licence, minimum class 9 - miscellaneous dangerous substances, with packages preferred
• Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels desirable)
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, excellent customer service and ability to work independently with a professional approach

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, contracted to 48 hours per week with start times averaging from 05:00 to 06:00. You will be making 1-2 deliveries to engineers in the morning, followed by a trunk run between our distribution centres. What you'll do on a typical day:
• Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sites
• Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards
• Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all times
• Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required)
• Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts
