Class 1 Driver

Pay Rate: £34,235 + Overtime paid at basic rate. Grade: O Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off - working 6pm - 6am Location: Thirsk DHL Supply Chain is one of the UK's leading logistics providers, keeping supply chains moving across the country every day. We're looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver (Shunter) to join our team on a customer site, where you'll play a key role in keeping trailer movements running smoothly and supporting day-to-day operations. This is a predominantly on-site role with minimal road driving, but strong driving standards and compliance are still essential. A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Shunting trailers on-site for the majority of the shift (around 99% of the role)
• Using a TUG to manoeuvre trailers safely and efficiently
• Working closely with the on-site customer, maintaining a professional and positive approach at all times
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all equipment is safe to use
• Driving in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with all health and safety standards and site procedures
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Are you confident with shunting and ideally have experience using a TUG?
• Are you professional, reliable and comfortable working in a very customer-facing environment?
• Can work effectively as part of a small team (you'll typically be working alongside one other shunter)
